If God presents him certified bald, or almost bald, would it matter? Truth be told I loved princess D and her son Prince William. Wouldn’t you say he’s a fine man? God blessed lady Catherine who stole your heart. Come on now ladies, don’t be judging me, because we can all agree that the man is fine lol. Seriously now, am I the only one who thinks he’s adorable and cute? I bet lady Catherine didn’t know he would go bald that quickly. However, would she change her mind… Absolutely not!

The Lord brought something to my attention while I was in my ‘waiting season’. He said to meA lot more of my daughters would be married, but they have a preconceived notion, and they’ve put me in a box.” In our language, at times, “we can be too stuck up and picky.” He said to me that some of us ladies tend to look on the man from the outside and never stop to look or consider his heart. I must say, I’m guilty as charged.

Some time ago,  I got some bad news about one of my girlfriends who married a remarkable and handsome man. He ended up cheating on her and then turned and walked away from their marriage. Right away I prayed in my heart and asked the Lord to choose my spouse for me. “For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

Don’t think I’m any different from you, because I’m not. I like nice things and of course we want the cute guy. However,  it’s always important to know that’s looks aren’t everything. When Samuel went to look for David to anoint him as King over Israel, he would have never chosen David because  of his looks. Remember looks are deceiving and beauty is vain.

My Boaz finally came when I let go of my own will and came down off my high horse. “Sister’s please don’t think I’m saying that you should let your guard down, reverse your standards, or marry an ugly Boaz. “All I’m saying is allow God to choose for you a fine romantic guy.” Yes, I said it. God is the author of love and He writes the best love stories.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”[Proverbs 3:5-6]

  5. Well said! Plane and straight! Many would be married if they weren’t so picky. That’s the honest truth! There is no perfect man out there none whatsoever and if a woman isn’t able to see beyond then she isn’t ready to be married! When God looks at us! He sees beyond! He sees the purpose he has wrapped inside of us. He sees us not just in the present! If women can see the man that God has allowed to take interest in them more than what he looks like and more than what he owns and have. That woman will be a bless woman! When I saw my husband I saw beyond his present! Many wouldn’t have wanted him and many didn’t take a good look at him but all I needed was a glimpse and I saw purpose! I saw great things and I listened to God. I also fix him up! Dress him nicely and introduced him to fashion. By the way Kacey a nuh you alone have Bawled man lol but bawl is the new sexy ☺am I allowed to say that word on here ☺

    • Hi Lady Ruth,
Thank you for stopping by. I feel yuh sis😂 The bawled head man lol.
On a serious note though, we have to learn to look at the purpose for the gift and not so much the gift itself.
Also, a lot of us missed out on a good thing because the appearance wasn’t ‘Saul worthy.’ I mean Samuel
was so sure one of David’s eldest brothers would be the one. But no, it was a humble, smelly, shepherd boy.
That’s why it’s important for us to seek God first, build deep rooted relationships, and get
into alignment with his words. Then and only then are we able to see and hear spiritually.
When we’re able to see with purpose God can use, what’s we have right in front of us for his glory.

Girl mi know wah yuh a talk bout. I do the same in the fashion department.
He trusts me to dress him lol. He actually, enjoys it.🤐
girl keep up the good work yah, much love.

  6. This is so wonderful this is also my testimony and I can truly say that I am happy I allowed God to choose for me because He knows that want I needed was far better than what I wanted. Looks will fade but the character will last God is the best author and finisher and we must trust him with our all.

    • Hi Kerry,
      Thanks for stopping by.
I’m very please to know we share similar testimony.
It’s so very important for us to allow God to choose for us, He’s indeed the best match
maker of all time. Let’s to continue to love and pray for others.

All the best to you an yours.

    • Hi Shereen,
Thanks for stopping by, it means so much
to know that you feel so blessed. I thank God for every experience, especially
the knowledge and inspiration that comes from Him. My desire is to impart and impact my world around me.
Stay strong and focused. I’m here if you
      have any questions.
      God bless you.💕

  7. Kacey, you left me wanting more!!!!!! I was literally scrolling down looking for more of the article lol. You need to add like 7 more parts to this sweetie ;). Spoke to my heart as a single sista. I need to catch up on the rest of your blogs my dear. This was a great study-break read. Thanks for sharing your heart for us to learn from.

  8. So true! Although I believe my husband is very handsome, I had to do another letting go. His life came with children, a grandchild and issues layer and layers deep from a previous marriage. I struggled with it for a long time and even broke up with him 3 times before finally taking it to God. I asked God to either put Love in my heart for him or turn off all my affections so I could walk away. I knew God could see down the road and I needed his guidance. It wasn’t but a few months after that I fell very surprisingly in love with him. We are the perfect pair together and now I know he needed me just as much as I needed a good man. We met each other at our lowest points where we had both lost everything…And found everything all over again with our new life together.

God works miracles out of hot messes.
